This 16-inch corded necklace is built around a kiln-fired oblong dichroic fused glass pendant, deep black glass inlaid with shifting panels of gold and copper that ignite under any light source. Dichroic glass carries a metallic coating applied in a vacuum chamber, a process borrowed from aerospace technology, that causes the surface to fracture and shift between colors depending on the angle of light. Flanking the pendant on both sides, multicolor Aurora Borealis quartz dagger stones fan outward in graduated clusters, pulling copper, violet, green, and gold from the same piece simultaneously. Silver accent beads punctuate each cluster, anchoring the composition without competing with it.

She puts it on and it does not hold still. It is not supposed to.
